San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 14, 2005 -- The 2005 Winter NAMM Conference in Anaheim California will be highlighted by the first collaborative hearing education effort of its kind with a partnership between two like-minded non-profit organizations. Kathy Peck, Director of Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers® (a.k.a. H.E.A.R.®) announced today that the MusiCares® booth (#5307) will feature free ear impressions for custom fit items like musicians' ear plugs and personal monitors as part of this relationship.

"We have talked about working together for some time and H.E.A.R.® is very pleased to be able to provide the audiologists from our network for what we expect will be an outstanding NAMM show this year," reports Peck. In addition to free ear impressions, visitors to the MusiCares® booth will be able to receive free health screenings by medical professionals as well as information on health issues relevant to those working in the music industry. Peck continues, "we are seeing a wonderful change in the way musicians and engineers care for their hearing, but more needs to be done. It is our pleasure to work with Chanda [Rankin and the MusiCares® organization to further help people protect themselves from hearing damage as well as to save the hearing they still have - if any loss has already occurred. "It's great to be collaborating with H.E.A.R.® at this year's NAMM show," according to Rankin, "The contributions that both our organizations will provide at NAMM will give everyone access to these healthcare services and information directly on the show floor."

H.E.A.R. will also be present at the show with their team at booth #2003.
